RideX ("we", "us") operates a ride-booking service connecting riders and drivers in Rewari, Dharuhera and Bawal, Haryana. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

This is a small, locally-operated pilot service, not a large company. If you have any question this page doesn't answer, email privacy@ridebooking.online and a person will reply.

We do not collect payment card details — RideX is cash-only. We do not run advertising and do not sell any data to advertisers.

Location data specifically

Drivers' location is only collected while they are marked online inside the app. It stops the moment a driver goes offline or closes the app. It is used to:

match you with ride requests near you
show your live position to the rider you are currently serving
calculate distance-based fares

Riders' location is only used for the trip you are actively booking — to set your pickup point and to show your driver's position to you.

Who we share it with

We use Google Firebase (Google Cloud, hosted in Singapore) to store and transmit this data securely. Firebase acts only as our infrastructure provider — it does not use your data for its own purposes. We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

During an active trip, your driver and rider can see each other's name, phone number, and live location — this is necessary for the trip itself and stops once the trip ends.

How long we keep it

Trip records are kept for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Live location data is not retained once a trip is complete and a driver has gone offline — only the pickup and drop points remain attached to the trip record.

Your rights

Access or correct your data — email us and we'll send or fix it.
Delete your account — email privacy@ridebooking.online from your registered number's associated email, or ask through the app, and we will delete your profile and location history. Completed trip records may be kept as required for accounting purposes.
Withdraw location access at any time via your phone's system settings — you just won't be able to book or accept rides while it's off.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in Firebase with access rules that restrict each account to its own data. Administrative access is limited to the operator of this service.

Children

RideX is not directed at children. Booking a ride or driving requires you to be at least 18 years old.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and, where required, we'll notify registered users.
